Aspen has a very rich cultural history that dates back as far as when the original ski lifts were installed in the late 1940s. As we find ourselves mid-summer there is still time to participate in the events, live music, theater, and art.  

Aspen being a place of renewal and connection of the mind, body and spirit—the “Aspen Idea” is a concept that has driven the cultural scene and is embodied in the Aspen InstituteAspen Music Festival & SchoolAspen Art MuseumAspen Film, and Anderson Ranch Arts Center to name a few. 

Here are some great upcoming cultural events in Aspen/Snowmass: 

Now - August 22
Aspen Music Festival & School 

Regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States, noted both for its concert programming and its musical training of mostly young-adult music students. The typical eight-week summer season includes more than 400 classical music events—including concerts by five orchestras, solo and chamber music performances, fully staged opera productions, master classes, lectures, and children’s programming—and brings in 100,000 audience members. Learn More.

Theatre Aspen: ”Rock of Ages” 

The Hurst Theatre is welcoming guests again with a full schedule of shows and performances, including the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages.” Learn more. 

August 1-5
Intersect Aspen 

Formerly called Art Aspen, this unique event brings art collectors, dealers and curators together from around the world. Learn more. 

August 6
Art Crush 

Every August, the Aspen Art Museum hosts a week of events celebrating art and artists leading up to our annual ArtCrush summer gala. This week honors those whose creativity and vision have the greatest impact on the field of contemporary art.  Learn more. 

August 20-22
Flynn Creek Circus 

This California-based circus troupe puts on an amazing all-human show with comedy, acrobatics and other entertaining performances. Learn more. 

August 25-31
Theatre Aspen: Solo Flights 

Theatre lovers are invited to this week-long development festival of one-person shows presented in the beginning stages of their making. There are also special talks, receptions and feedback sessions to connect audiences with the artists. Learn more. 

September 1-6
Motherlode Volleyball Classic 

This is one of the oldest and largest pro-am volleyball tournaments in the United States. It is an Aspen Labor Day tradition. Learn more. 

September 3-5
Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience 

This three-day concert takes place in Snowmass Town Park and features incredible performances by artists. This year, the featured headliners include Stevie Nicks, Kings of Leon, Eric Church and Maren Morris. Learn more. 

September 10-12
Food & Wine Classic 

This is usually held at the beginning of the summer season, but it will bring in the fall season this year. This is a great event with world-class wine and cuisine served in an open-air festival setting. Learn more.

Born and raised in Colorado, educated at the University of Denver, Brittanie earned a BSBA focused on International Business and Real Estate. In 2007 Brittanie put down roots in our community and has been living and breathing Aspen Snowmass real estate ever since! Her tenure in the business has afforded her the opportunity to be involved with near $1B in sales and growing.


As a complement to actively selling real estate, Brittanie has built a multimillion dollar rental business from scratch over the last decade. In addition to maintaining communication with a large network of Aspen visitors, her unparalleled knowledge of the rental market is of great value to investors and second homeowners interested in generating income from their Aspen/Snowmass purchase.

Part of her presence in the community, includes being active with the Society of Fellows at the Aspen Institute, being a Contemporary at the Aspen Art Museum, volunteering on boards including the Aspen Historical Society, and serving as Commissioner for City of Aspen Planning and Zoning. Brittanie embraces the markets that support Aspen across the country and around the globe, she has organized international sales trips to promote Aspen Snowmass and has closed transactions for clients from thirteen different countries.


Although real estate is her day job, it's also her nights and weekends! Brittanie is passionate about having the opportunity to connect people to this very special place she feels blessed to call home.
