Renting a luxury home in Aspen isn't like booking a hotel. Each home has its own terms, so the minimum stay, pet policy, and what's covered in the rent can differ from one property to the next.

Winter is the main season. For 2026/27, Aspen Mountain and Snowmass are scheduled to open November 26, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk open December 12, and the mountains close between April 4 and April 18, 2027. Aspen Snowmass's Premier Pass covers all four mountains, so where you stay doesn't limit where you can ski. In the City of Aspen, stays under 30 days are regulated as short-term rentals, and the owner needs a city permit and business license to offer them. Find the Right Aspen Rental for Your Stay

Aspen and Snowmass offer very different experiences, and the right rental depends on how you plan to spend your time.

Aspen. Homes near the core put you within walking distance of dining, galleries, boutiques, and the Silver Queen Gondola. This is the best fit for guests who want to be in the middle of the town's energy.

Snowmass Village. Ski-in/ski-out access, quieter surroundings, and larger floor plans make Snowmass popular with families and groups who want to step from the front door to the slopes.

Woody Creek, Red Mountain, and the surrounding valley. These are private, secluded estates with mountain views, space, and more separation from the crowds.
