On Tuesday March 2, 2021, we have an important municipal election coming up in the City of Aspen. We have eight candidates running for two open City Council seats and Mayor Torre is also running for re-election.

Voting Options
All eligible Aspen voters should have received mail-in ballots by now and the clock is ticking to get them sent in or dropped in the new ballot drop box in front of City Hall at 130 S. Galena St. This is the first year Aspen is using a drop box option. It is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the polling closes at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 2. The drop box was added this year to help ease crowds because of COVID-19. You can also mail in your ballots as usual or vote in person.
Early voting is also an option. You can visit City Hall Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. City Hall will also be open on election day for in-person voting between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. If you are voting in person, you must bring a valid, government-issued ID.

I sat down for a brief interview with one of the of the City Council candidates, Kimbo Brown-Schirato. She has lived in Aspen for 16 years and is a full-time working mom. Make Your Voice Heard!
