I always look forward to winters in Aspen. The festive holiday season blends well with the active ski season. We have been blessed with fresh blankets of snow this week and that makes it feel like a true winter wonderland!

For the meditative mind, body and spirit, you can sign a loved one up for fitness courses and incredible spa treatments at local wellness centers like Tonic Pilates, O2 Aspen or True Nature (if you are up for a relaxing day trip to Carbondale). Give the gift of mental and physical wellness this year.
Local Apparel
There are some great local apparel outfitters in Aspen. A few of my favorites include Aspen Athleisure, Ute Mountaineer, Strafe Outerwear and Miller Sports Aspen. You can find some great winter wear, whether you are ready to hit the slopes or just curl up by the fireplace with a good book.

Though our holiday parties can’t be as big this year, it still feels good to socialize when we can and eventually we’ll get back to having great Aspen parties once again. A really fantastic idea this year is to buy gift cards at your favorite Aspen restaurants and give them out as gifts. The recipient can enjoy the great cuisine as takeout or wait until the restaurants are fully back open for normal service in the future. Most importantly, it is an excellent way to show your love and support for our local restaurant workers. Some of my favorite places include Mawa’s Kitchen, Pyramid Bistro, Meat & Cheese, Cache Cache, Matsuhisa Aspen, and all the Aspen eateries of the CP Restaurant Group.
