Aspen Off-Season Restaurants: What's Open in Fall 2026?

  • October 8, 2026

At 205 S. Mill St., the fall schedule is already split. Cache Cache served its last summer dinner on Saturday, Oct. 3, and won't reopen until Friday, Dec. 11. Campo de Fiori, at the same address, is open all off-season. Starting Oct. 11 it seats Tuesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. and closes Sundays and Mondays. Las Montanas, also at 205 S. Mill, stopped lunch after Oct. 5 and won't serve it again until mid-December. Happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 every night continue.

That's three restaurants at one address on three different schedules, and the rest of town works the same way. The Fall 2026 guide on eatAspen shows the off-season arriving in waves from late September to mid-December. From mid-October on, the more useful question is what night it is, not what week.

The Closures Come One at a Time

The quiet doesn't start on a single date. Here's the order of closures this fall, according to the eatAspen guide:

  • Sept. 6: Mawita, at 305 AABC, closes through Sunday, Dec. 13.
  • Sept. 29: Duemani closes and reopens Dec. 4.
  • Oct. 3: Bosq starts a closure that runs through Dec. 10, and Cache Cache serves its final summer dinner.
  • Oct. 11: PARC Aspen closes through Dec. 15.
  • Oct. 18: The Wild Fig starts a closure that runs through Nov. 26.
  • Oct. 21: French Alpine Bistro serves its last night and reopens Nov. 25.
  • Oct. 25: Aosta and The Monarch Steak House both close through Nov. 26.
  • Oct. 31 and Nov. 1: Mawa's Kitchen serves its last dinner on Saturday, Oct. 31, and its last brunch on Sunday, Nov. 1.
  • Early November: Red Mountain Grill at the Aspen Golf Course plans a two-week closure. The dates are still listed as to be determined.

ZigZag at 624 E. Cooper Ave. is already closed for the off-season. The guide says Le Cafe is coming to that address in December 2026.

From that list, the tightest stretch runs from Oct. 25 to Nov. 25. Aosta, The Monarch, The Wild Fig, French Alpine Bistro, Bosq, Cache Cache, PARC and Duemani are all dark at once, and Mawa's Kitchen joins them in November.

After Oct. 11, the Day of the Week Decides

Several restaurants that stay open all season are trimming days instead of closing. Each one trims a different day, so every night of the week offers a different set of options.

Yuki at 450 S. Galena is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Oct. 6 through Nov. 18. Campo de Fiori is closed Sundays and Mondays from Oct. 11. Matsuhisa closes its upstairs dining room from Oct. 6 to Dec. 11 except on Mondays, when it runs Monday Night Football specials upstairs and at the downstairs bar. Eddy's Sit and Stay, the new sit-down restaurant at 315 E. Hyman Ave., currently posts hours of Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Put those schedules side by side and the week looks like this:

Night Open with posted off-season hours Closed that day
Monday Matsuhisa with its football specials, Las Montanas dinner from 5, Yuki, Eddy's Sit and Stay until 6 Campo de Fiori
Tuesday Campo de Fiori from 6, Las Montanas Yuki, Eddy's Sit and Stay
Wednesday Campo de Fiori from 6, Las Montanas Yuki, Eddy's Sit and Stay
Thursday Campo de Fiori, Yuki, Las Montanas, Eddy's Sit and Stay None of these four
Friday and Saturday Campo de Fiori, Yuki, Las Montanas, Eddy's Sit and Stay, Crepe Therapy until 8 None of these
Sunday Yuki, Las Montanas, Eddy's Sit and Stay Campo de Fiori

Tuesday and Wednesday have the fewest options of the restaurants in the table. Monday is the only night Matsuhisa's upstairs room opens before mid-December.

Dinner Moves Earlier

The casual spots that stay open are also closing earlier. Starting Monday, Oct. 5, CP Burger at 433 E. Durant Ave. is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Crepe Therapy Cafe at 401 E. Cooper Ave. is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Explore Books Cafe on East Main runs its cafe seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the bookstore stays open until 5.

Eddy's Sit and Stay's 6 p.m. close puts it in the same early group. Its happy hour runs from 4 to 6 p.m. on the days it's open. An older Eddy's page lists different evening hours, so call ahead before planning a late meal there.

Several more restaurants are marked simply as "Open" in the fall guide, without detailed hours. They include Steakhouse No. 316 in its 1888 Victorian on East Hopkins, which the guide describes as serving dinner nightly; New York Pizza at 409 E. Hyman; Little Ollie's on South Hunter; Limelight Lounge; and Phatt Pho at Clark's Market Plaza. Roxy's Market & Cafe at the AABC, Clark's Market and Woody Creek Tavern are also listed as open. The eatAspen page shows no publish date, and hours change during this stretch, so confirm directly with any restaurant before you go.

Fall Gained New Options This Year

Two new things arrived just before the closures began.

ThreeFifteen opened at 315 E. Hyman Ave. on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Aspen Daily News describes it as a building for local businesses, retail, arts and events. Sisters Liz and Sondra Savickas run its two upstairs food businesses. Eddy's Market is a coffee shop, artisan market, bakery and grab-and-go counter, and Eddy's Sit and Stay is a sit-down restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Liz Savickas described the menu as all-American and all-day, with salads, sandwiches, wraps, chicken Parmesan, meatball subs, family recipes and rotating specials. The building also houses the new Mischief Vintage shop. Neither the reporting nor the posted hours say whether Eddy's will stay open through Thanksgiving.

Before that, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association held its first Aspen Restaurant Week Autumn from Sept. 21 to 27, with prix fixe menus at $45, $75 or $95. The Aspen Times named participants including Bosq, PARC, Duemani, The Wild Fig, Aosta and The Monarch. All six are on the closure list above. Duemani closed two days after the week ended, and Bosq closed less than a week after. For several of those kitchens, the Restaurant Week menus were among their last services before winter.

The Reopenings Center on Thanksgiving

Restaurants come back in waves too, and the first wave lines up with the ski calendar. Aspen Skiing Co. has scheduled Aspen Mountain and Snowmass to open on Thursday, Nov. 26, Thanksgiving Day. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk follow on Dec. 12.

French Alpine Bistro reopens Nov. 25, the day before opening day. The closures at Aosta, The Monarch and The Wild Fig all run through Nov. 26. Thanksgiving itself has its own gaps. Matsuhisa is fully closed that day, and so is Yuki.

The fine-dining rooms return later, in December:

  1. Dec. 4: Duemani reopens.
  2. Dec. 10: Mawa's Kitchen brings back breakfast and brunch, and Bosq's posted closure ends.
  3. Dec. 11: Cache Cache reopens for winter, and Matsuhisa's upstairs room returns.
  4. Dec. 13: Mawita's closure ends.
  5. Dec. 15: PARC Aspen reopens, and Mawa's Kitchen brings back dinner.

Le Cafe is also due to open at 624 E. Cooper Ave. sometime in December, in the former ZigZag space. By the time Highlands and Buttermilk open on Dec. 12, most of the restaurants on the October closure list will have reopened or will reopen within days.
