Easy & Intermediate Trails
Highline/Lowline Trails
There is a Highline Trail and a Lowline Trail just below it. A great mountain biking loop can be made between the two trails, with different sections ideal for beginner-to-intermediate-level riders. This is a single track trail that flows nicely, with just a few technical places where true novices may want to dismount. Learn more.
Sky Mountain Park
Sky Mountain Park is comprised of 2,500 acres and features a network of excellent trails between Aspen and Snowmass Village. Intermediate mountain bikers will love the ride that provides breathtaking views of Aspen, Snowmass, Independence Pass, Basalt Mountain and Mount Sopris. Learn more.
Advanced Trails
Smuggler-Hunter Creek Loop
This is one of Aspen’s most beloved trails, providing an intermediate-to-advanced ride. It starts off with a demanding 1.5-mile climb up Smuggler Mountain Road before winding into the Hunter Creek Valley. The trail offers a smooth single track surfaces and runs through beautiful Aspen groves and even some old deserted mining cabins. Government Trail
This is one of the area’s more challenging trails that advanced riders will truly enjoy. You start with a difficult climb up Snowmass Ski Area and then traverse across the ski runs. From there, you travel through a thick evergreen forest before reaching the Buttermilk Ski Area. It takes you through an exciting terrain filled with aspen groves before you end up just outside of Aspen. Learn more.

Spanning from Snowmass Base Village to the top of Elk Camp Chairlift, the Snowmass Bike Park has something for all riders. The park includes almost 3,000 vertical feet of trails specifically built for downhill mountain biking. Learn more.
