It makes me so happy to see the streets of Aspen blooming in their full summer splendor. The colors, sights and smells are invigorating! People are out socializing in our community and exploring the wondrous outdoor lifestyle of the Roaring Fork Valley. Whether it’s a day hiking, biking, paddle boarding or shopping at the Saturday Farmer’s Market, there is always something fun you can do in Aspen.
I especially love seeing the local cafes, stores and bars bustling with activity again. The mood is positive and the weather is beautiful.
Positive Momentum in Aspen Real Estate
It’s no surprise that this positive energy in Aspen is translating to an excellent real estate market. The second quarter of 2021 has outperformed any other Q2 that Aspen/Snowmass has ever experienced. According to the June 2021 Colorado Douglas Elliman Report, new signed contracts in the the Aspen condo market were up 42.9% over June 2020. Single-family sales were down, but that is due to a lack of inventory more than anything. The buyer demand is certainly strong and home prices continue to rise.
Snowmass Village saw significant year-over-year growth in both the single-family and condo markets. New signed contracts were up on Snowmass single-family homes by 166.7%, while condo sales increased by 63.6% compared to last June.
A Fast-Moving Home Market
The days on the market have decreased significantly, properties that are priced well are flying off the “shelves.” As we move through July, we are setting new records
